Participant Obligations

When enrolling in a River Schools course, participants agree to:

  • Meet the admission requirements as outlined in the course information.
  • Adhere to the code of conduct and other guidelines provided by the institution.
Course Conditions

Course terms are as follows:

  • Duration: The contract is valid for the duration of the course.
  • Course Materials: River Schools provides study materials, such as lesson overviews. Additional materials must be purchased by the participant.
  • Certification: Upon successful course completion, participants receive a certificate for ministerial preparation, recognized internally for ministry purposes.

Payments:

  • Course fees vary by course and are VAT-exempt due to CRKBO registration.
  • Payments are usually made in 12 monthly installments under a partnership arrangement.
  • Payments must be completed by the end of each month. Repeated late payments (three times or more) may result in contract termination and removal from the program.

Cancellations and Refunds:

Participant Cancellation:

  • Within 30 days of signing: Full refund within 14 days.
  • Before the course begins: 80% refund within 14 days.
  • Within the first quarter: 50% refund within 14 days.
  • After the first quarter: No refund.

River Schools Cancellation:

  • If a course is canceled, all participants receive a full refund within 14 days.
Termination of Agreement

River Schools may terminate the agreement in cases of:

  • Non-compliance with the code of conduct.
  • Repeated payment defaults.
  • Participants may terminate the agreement due to personal circumstances (evidence may be required).
Special Conditions

Intellectual Property: All course materials remain the property of River Schools and may not be reproduced or distributed without written consent.

Data Protection: River Schools complies with GDPR guidelines and ensures the confidentiality of participants’ personal data.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the website or services after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
